Can't find the data

Postby Scalion » Sat Nov 05, 2011 8:49 pm

Hi here my error message :
Could not get any data from the forum, please check the configuration.

My forum is installed in the root of the server (i have the folder forum by default when install phpbb)

I have no idea why the module can't find the database, im using Jfusion but it should work anyway. (Using joomla 1.7)

I try other mod like urs and it was working fine.

In the URL i wrote : http://www.lacroisade.net/forum

In SQL Server i try with :

forum
/forum
forum/
http://www.lacroisade.net/forum

I'm out of idea i try many other option nothing give acces to the database =/

Hi there Scalion,

Can you take a screenshot of the configuration and upload it ?

Remember to remove/cover the password or private data from the screenshot.

One weird thing I can see is the preffix. It usually is 'phpbb_' by default, you can check that out.

Well, if you get that error is because one of the following fields is not correct:

sql server, database, prefix or user & password.

You shouldn't try to guess those values, you have to know those values and you can check them all in your database server or configuration.
If you don't know how to get any of that information let me know and I'll try to help you.

I do not know exactly how to get those values.
(my guess was base on what i could see on other plugin/page/etc...)
